Peninsula North East Trip - Day 3 (Update 1)

Date : 18th May, 2008.
Places : Merang - Pulau Duyung.

We woke up as early as 6:30am hoping to catch the scenic sunrise view of the beach. Unfortunately, the sun was hiding away from us behind the thick cloud. The only thing we could see was the ray.

The cam-whoring continued while some pretended to be monkeys.

Before checking out from the resort at 12, we walked around the beach enjoying the breeze for the last time.

Along 1 section of the beach, there were a few fishermen trying to catch some fishes. Since they were fishing from the land, their rods were way much longer than the normal ones.

While we were passing by, 1 of the fishermen caught a fish. It was my first time seeing such a weird fish. It's called flatfish. The fish looks so strange that both eyes were on one side and the other side was FLAT!

After checking out, we went to Kuala Terengganu for another to taste of their food.

Mid way, we stopped by at Pulau Duyung, a famous place in building boats in Terengganu, to take a group picture.
