The crazy act for Mid-Autumn

I'm not sure how everyone had their Mid-Autumn, but I sure had a healthy one by attending my company's weekly badminton session. I do sounds like no life, I know, but we already had a few outings to celebrate this festival prior to it's actual day.

First off, we went all the way to One Utama's Haagen Dasz to try out their Ice-cream mooncake...

We tried all 4 flavours and I personally prefer the strawberry mooncake. It taste so just like....strawberry ice-cream.

Then, while trying to act like very Buddhist (though some of us aren't), we wanted to pay a visit to the famous Fo Guang Shan temple, since everyone says it's the most beautiful temple around (especially night time).

Fo Guang Shan temple is very well decorated during the Chinese New Year, but this year's CNY has already past and the next new year has yet to arrive. Logically, Mid-Autumn festival should be the next and nearest big event or reason to have the temple nicely decorated, no?

So, on the Mid-Autumn eve, we drove to Jenjarum as planned. We stop by at Carey Island to have our nice seafood before heading to the final destination.

The food we had...

After filling up everyone's stomach, off we go, continuing our quest to visit the so-claimed the nicest temple around...

BUT !!!!!!......

After driving for more than an hour from our office to Jenjarum, we arrived at the temple around 8.45pm only to realize that Fo Guang Shan temple was not decorated to celebrate this festival, which is still acceptable...

The worst is, the gate is not even opened for normal prayer!!!

More than an hour of driving in 3 cars and all we could see is the dark closed Fo Guang Shan temple facade.
