Chinese Pearl of the Orient (Part 6)

DAY 6
Date : 22nd June, 2009 (Monday)

It was already my last day in Hong Kong and I have yet to bump into any superstar which everyone claims to be a common incident here.

I was not giving up yet. Not when I was told that I'm going to SOHO where it seems to be a popular hang out place for the superstars too.

It was hard to choose which restaurant to go to since all the food looks tasty. I selected a restaurant based on just the look. It was like having my brunch in the Harry Potter's library...

The food was great and I was slowly enjoying the food, hopefully a superstar will drop in while I tried to stay there as long as possible. Unfortunately, no one entered the restaurant at such odd hours.

While looking around Hong Kong for the last time, I spotted something familiar...

That's a very traditional police station you can see in the TVB series, no?

It was almost the end of my trip and I had to give up on my hope on meeting any superstars, but we encountered something else though. We passed by someone demonstrating on a particular bank on 1 corner of the road with a loud speaker verbally poisoning the bank.

I wonder what will happen to the lady if she was to be a Malaysian demonstrating in Malaysia. Don't think I'll be seeing her anymore the next day.

Well, to round up my Hong Kong trip, I didn't meet any superstar, but I've been to most of the places in Hong Kong that any tourists could go. I tried almost all the possible public transportation there including...

Mini bus...

There's a speed limit alarm installed in all the mini buses which will blast when it's speeding. Quite a cool and safety feature.

The 1 and only tram line in Hong Kong Island...

Double storey bus...

The red cab...

Mass Transit Railway (MTR)...

Hong Kong is a crowded place. The people is hardworking due to the competition. I'm not sure if I will love to work at this place. But for holidays, I'm sure it's a fun place, especially having the best tour guide (cum photographer) I've ever had...

Mr. Lewis-the-LuluNee which was trying to take a picture of a naked girl in a building 2 blocks away with his super gigantic lens...heh, kidding.

But thank you very much, man! Owe you a biggggg ONE !

Bye Hong Kong, but I'll be back!
